Sometimes bad things happen to good companies. If a journalist called you for comment after something went wrong, would you know what to say? No? Then you need to attend this crisis management workshop.
Sometimes companies and organisations can find themselves in a spot of bother through no fault of their own. It could be anything from an unexpected name-check in a national newspaper, to a poor Ofsted report that sends prospective parents running for cover.
In this session, Tim Cobb will explain the delicate balancing act involved when working with journalists to make sure you get a fair hearing on TV, radio, the press and on social media. Sometimes it’s necessary to put on a brave face and admit to any failings and mistakes. Or you might need to correct misinformation in order to protect your brand and reputation.
The workshop will include a practical session on formulating a communications plan based on a realistic scenario.
You will leave understanding the importance of having a crisis management PR plan in place and what you need to do – and what you must never do – if disaster strikes.
