Bite-sized Learning: Standout creativity for business

Do you want to communicate better with your audiences? Firstly, you need to get noticed. Creativity is no longer a luxury – now it’s a necessity. Standout creativity provides a solution.

In this session, you will learn to think more creatively to create communications that wins peoples’ attention. You will gain an understanding of the principles of this approach and then get to practically test them out. As a result, you can out-think competitors without having to spend more.

Where? The 1st Central County Ground, Eaton Road, Hove, BN3 3AN

When? Thursday 12 July, 9:30am - 11:30am

Who for? Marketing professionals within SMEs, small business owners, freelance consultants & digital, branding and social media professionals.

Who by? Bob Maddams, director of Gooroo. Bob is a highly experienced and award-winning creative. Bob spent over 20 years working as a copywriter and commercials director for Ogilvy & Mather and M&C Saatchi advertising agencies. As a freelance journalist, he has written for the Times, Guardian and Daily Telegraph. He taught the Creative Advertising and Video Production courses at Hove College and has been a communications consultant for Unicef, Oxfam and Water Aid.

In the first half of this session, you will learn more about how we are all creative, but this sometimes needs to be woken up from within us. You will learn techniques which will be able to directly apply to your day-to-day business life. You will also see how the big brands use creativity and what you can learn from them.

The second half turns the workshop into a creative department of a top advertising agency. Attendees get to test their new skills in teams of two and given a brief for a simple press advert to produce using simple-to-follow templates.

You will leave the session with tips and ideas to take back to your business. Can you think of a more creative way to spend two hours? Book your place today.
