The 'lucky' Breakfast

Matt Wright is one of those people who tends to get in there first.

He started his first business (potato farming) at the age of 12 and, in 1996, was one of the first people to win a web design award. (“Nobody had an internet connection so the competition was minimal,” he points out modestly.)

He’s been an ‘information systems expert’ ever since - a job title no-one had heard of when he first put it on his CV. He invented a satellite video jukebox for pubs, launched a ‘Digital Media Solutions’ department in Telecine, and then set up OTV Limited, working with some of the world’s biggest TV distributors.

Matt’s latest project is Check Your Food Ltd, running two high-end nutrition sites. Rather neatly, the first corporate client is Britain’s biggest potato farmer...

But has his hugely successful and diverse career all been down to luck? It’s a question he’ll be answering during the breakfast. Make sure you’re one of the first to get a ticket!
