Are you looking to raise funds for your charity or social enterprise through crowdfunding but not sure where to start or what a successful campaign looks like?

 

Crowdfunding is creating social, economical and community-led impacts across the UK, not only allowing communities and charities to raise funds, but also raising awareness and support to help make great ideas happen.

 

This session, run by Crowdfunder, will outline rewards-based crowdfunding – what it is, how you can use it to raise funds and grow your network, and the tips and tricks to creating a successful campaign for your charity or social enterprise.

Who for? Any size charities or social enterprises who want to find out how crowdfunding can help raise funds and grow networks.

 

Who by? Jason Nuttall, Crowdfunder. Jason has spent several years securing grants and contracts for charities and social enterprises, and at Crowdfunder now develops partnerships with match funders. What this session will cover:

  • Raising funds through crowdfunding
  • How crowdfunding can help build your network
  • How to run a successful crowdfunding campaign
  • Developing your ‘elevator pitch’ so you have a clear message for your campaign

 

During the session, you’ll hear from two local projects - Simon from Stoneham Bakehouse and Jess from Brighton & Hove Food Partnership - about their experience using crowdfunding, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. There will also be some interactive exercises so you can really get to grips with creating your crowdfunding project.

 

You'll also find out about an exciting opportunity to win £1000 towards your first crowdfunding campaign, supported by CriSeren Foundation.

You’ll leave the session with a clearer understanding of rewards-based crowdfunding and the techniques you can use to run a successful crowdfunding campaign.
