GOVERNMENT FUNDED SUPPORT FOR BUSINESS

The Business Hothouse is funded through the European Development Fund and Local Authorities within the coast-to-capital area. The funding enables us to offer free, expert business knowledge support to businesses across this area.

All of our support is free and is open to any pre-start or established business in the area through until September 2022. Our support takes the form of workshops and 1-2-1 mentoring sessions and is delivered by experienced business experts.

As part of our support program we can award business grant funding from our Invest4 Grant Fund. Established, growing businesses, looking to take the next step can be awarded up to £170,000 and we can award up to £5,000 to start-up businesses.

  • A business in difficulty is an organisation that is unable, whether through its own resources or with the funds it is able to obtain from its owner/ shareholders or creditors, to stem losses which without outside intervention by public authorities will almost certainly condemn it to go out of business in the short or medium term.

  • The above requirement has been relaxed due to the challenges in business caused by the Covic-19 Pandemic closures. This rule now applies pre 31st December 2019 and will commence again December 2020
