NatWest’s ‘Expert in Residence’ is available in the Coast to Capital area to help female entrepreneurs realise their growth ambitions. Our Expert in Residence is available to host events, provide expert insight and advice on business finance.
This initiative is running in conjunction with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Cast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership and follows a two-year long pilot of the scheme which showed significant difference can be achieved by those who receive independent support at key points in their business journey. The role also provides support to the LEP to access additional expertise to help female-led businesses achieve their potential.
The Expert in Residence programme was developed following the Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship in 2019, which was co-authored by NatWest Group Chief Executive, Alison Rose. The review demonstrated that up to £250bn of new value could be added to the UK economy if women started and scaled new businesses at the same rate as men in the UK.
In Coast to Capital the Expert in Residence is Luke Cartwright. Luke is NatWest’s Local Enterprise Manager for Sussex and Gatwick. His role is to support the businesses of Sussex, whether you bank with NatWest or not. He will work closely with you to support, develop and add value to SMEs by providing business advice, bringing together local businesses and hosting regular events.
