Surrey County Council is working with business leaders, universities and other public sector partners to grow Surrey’s economy and create more, better paid jobs. This work is now more important than ever following the enormous shock of the coronavirus to our economy and way of life.

One aspect of this work is an exciting new project to develop a place brand for the county, or in other words a tool to help promote Surrey and attract business, talent, visitors and students. It is the story of their county past, present and future – and the places and the people that make it special.

They would like to use the new place brand to build local pride and confidence in our great county, and to help market Surrey as we reignite our economy post coronavirus.

They want to hear what makes you proud about Surrey, how you feel about the area and how you might like it to develop in the future. With these ‘virtual’ workshops, they are seeking your insight, thoughts and knowledge to help shape a powerful new story about Surrey.

They will be hosting four ‘virtual’ workshops using the Zoom platform on the below dates. If you would like to get involved, please register for one session and joining instructions with further information will follow ahead of the session.

Sessions are as follows:

  • Tuesday 28th July 1.00 - 2.30pm
  • Wednesday 29th July 5.00 - 6.30pm
  • Thursday 6th August 11.30 - 1.00pm
  • Wednesday 12th August 9.00 - 10.30am

Places are limited, so please register as soon as you can with registrations closing 24 hours prior to each session starting.
