Quality Work Experience in the South East

Twin's "Coast to Capital" Internship programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund, covering much of Surrey (including Croydon) and Sussex - which has seen tremendous growth in the Small/Medium Enterprise (SME) sector.

The objective is to attract graduate talent in the catchment area and connect them with SME's to grow the regional economy.

We cover a range of industries to suit your needs. You name it and we will do our best to match you with the perfect internship. What’s the point of taking on an internship if it’s not even going to give you the experience or skills you want to learn?

We have identified and connected with several companies within the following industries, however, if you are interested in an industry not listed below, please still reach out to us as we may be able to help.

SECTORS IN THE REGION

· Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering
· Creative, Digital and IT services
· Environmental technologies
· Financial and Business Services

· Health and Social Care

WHERE CAN YOU INTERN?

We cover The Coast to Capital Region. The aim of our project is to link talented people with SMEs (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) within their local area. We don’t want you to have to travel a million miles, or have to offer to work 100 hour weeks just to gain some skills. We want to link you with companies in and around your area that can give you some great experience to help you kick-start your career.

It’s a win win situation- you gain some experience that can help you get your foot on the career ladder and help to grow the regional economy through supporting SMEs. We also find that SMEs can offer incredible internships that are more varied and less distant than larger companies, meaning that you wont spend your internships photocopying papers or getting coffee. We work hard to ensure that we match you with an SME that fits your skills and interests perfectly.

OUR COMMITMENT

We want to make sure that you get the most possible out of this internship and hopefully gain some skills that will help catapult you into your career. To do this, we require a commitment of 13 weeks. The SME you are paired with provide a training plan for the duration, and a member of our friendly team will be on hand before, during and after your internship to ensure you get the most out of the experience, and can answer any questions you have.

Despite the internships being unpaid, all of your travel expenses will be covered, meaning you wont be out of pocket for just trying to advance your career. This internship can be offered full or part time, and can also work alongside your studies, can be used as part of your placement year, and can run alongside a part time job.
