They include Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, internships, graduate placements and continuous professional development training courses.


Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) [link]


A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a government-funded scheme that enables businesses and universities to work together. Each partnership involves a three-way collaboration between a business, university and a graduate. The graduate carries out a strategic project for your business, with expert guidance from a university academic.

The University of Brighton has run over 250 successful KTP programmes. KTP's typically involve refining products, or designing new products; opening new markets for products; improving business, marketing or manufacturing systems and cutting costs and waste. Up to 67 per cent of the project costs are government funded and a KTP can last from six months to three years. Running for over 40 years, KTP's are recognised as an cost effective way of businesses increasing profits, creating jobs , engaging graduate talent, and accessing university academic expertise and state-of-the art R&D facilities.


Higher and Degree Apprenticeships [ link ]


An apprenticeship is a job with an accompanying skills development programme. All apprenticeships have been developed by employers in the sector and allow apprentices to gain technical knowledge, and practical experience, through a mix of learning in the workplace, formal off the job training and the opportunity to practice and embed new skills in a real work context. Reflecting the need for jobs requiring higher skill levels, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships include university qualifications such as Foundation, Bachelors or Masters Degrees and can be the ideal way for you to up-skill your staff.

Internships and Graduate Placements [ link ]


We have 22,000 students across a range of subject areas, with 5,000 graduating every year.


All University of Brighton students have the opportunity to undertake placements and/or gain work and volunteering experience either alongside or as part of their course. This means that we have a skilled and enthusiastic talent pool waiting to work with you


Short courses [ link ]


You can attend short courses, workshops and evening classes in a wide range of subjects throughout the year at the university. Many of our courses are accredited by professional bodies, and allow you to update your existing professional skills or develop new ones.
